O prefeito Eduardo Honório recebeu hoje (03.01), a professora Maria Goretti de Araújo Carneiro Pessoa como nova secretária de Educação e Inovação. Ela tomou posse nessa manhã na sede da prefeitura de Goiana.
Maria Goretti é formada em Licenciatura Plena em Ciências com habilitação em Matemática pela Fundação de Ensino Superior de Olinda (FUNESO), com Especialização em Pedagogia. Atuou na Prefeitura de Olinda por 16 anos e no governo de Pernambuco, nos últimos anos, onde já passou pelos cargos de Técnica da Divisão Financeira da Gerência Regional de Educação Metro Norte, de Gerente da GERE Metropolitana Norte e, desde 2007 até o presente momento, ocupou a função como Diretora Pedagógica da Escola de Aplicação da AMEC (AIEC- Associação Igarassuense de Educaçao e Cultura.
A nova titular assume a pasta no lugar do vice-prefeito, Fernando Veloso, que irá acompanhar o prefeito Eduardo Honório nas ações da gestão à frente do município de Goiana.
