Moradores de Goiana que possuem animal de estimação passam a contar com a primeira unidade de saúde veterinária pública da Mata Norte de Pernambuco. A clínica veterinária de Goiana foi entregue nessa terça-feira (04.01) pelo prefeito Eduardo Honório.
Localizado na rua 05 de Maio, no centro da cidade, o espaço é um ambulatório para atendimentos clínicos gratuitos, que também vai oferecer vacinação antirrábica e, em breve, contará com um bloco cirúrgico para castração e demais intervenções.
A partir desta quinta-feira (06.01) começam os atendimentos para o público. O funcionamento da unidade será de segunda a sexta, das 8h às 16h. Inicialmente, os interessados podem agendar as consultas presencialmente.
Segundo a secretária Lícia Maciel o local possui dois consultórios, sala de espera, recepção, uma sala de medicação/vacinação, bloco cirúrgico e sala de recuperação pós-anestésica. Todo investimento para a abertura e manutenção da clínica veterinária provém de recursos próprios do município.
O prefeito Eduardo Honório destacou que Goiana não contava com esse serviço público e que agora têm à disposição essa estrutura para atender bem os animais. "Essa é mais uma conquista da nossa gestão que vai beneficiar as pessoas de baixa renda que tem, a partir de agora, como melhor cuidar de seus animais", disse.
